About me and my therapy practice

We are all on a journey; sometimes the road can be quite bumpy, especially when there are lots of changes happening along the way. Some people appear to cope better than others and sail through life; some make out everything is ok when it isn’t. There’s a lot of pressure on young people to conform and be a certain way, especially around social media, they may feel like they don’t fit in.
Being able to offload and explore feelings and experiences confidentially and without judgement in a safe space really helps. Whatever the felt experience whether it’s low mood, suicidal thoughts, self- harm, bullying, loss of a loved one, changing schools or anything else, sharing experiences makes us feel lighter.

I have my own practice and support YP and adults. I visit YP in care homes and support adults in schools. I have volunteered in the local hospice supporting young people and adults with loss and life- changing/limiting conditions. I have also worked with Foster and Adoption agencies helping families whose children have been taken into care. I have supported clients on the Autistic Spectrum and have a level 2 qualification – Understanding Autism. I have a wealth of life experience.
