Kerry Holmes
Patron

in August 2021, Kerry helped establish the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund with her husband, Peter Scutts, after losing her son, Elliott (pictured with Kerry), to suicide in June 2020.

Since losing Elliott, Kerry has supported other families in the Gravesham area who have been bereaved by suicide. In October 2024, she found the strength to talk publically at events about the impact suicide has on family and friends.

Peter established the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund in August 2021, following the tragic loss of his 19-year-old stepson. A Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Peter ran a marketing and creative services company before retiring due to its impact Elliott’s death had on him and his wife, Kerry. His experience in marketing campaigns for various charities was instrumental in founding EHMF.

He served as a Governor at St. Joseph’s Convent Preparatory School and has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Gravesend and Meopham. He has volunteered for numerous charities. In recognition of his contributions, he received Gravesham’s Civic and Community Award in 2023 and a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International in 2024, honouring his dedication to community service.

Tina Walker MBACP (Accred)
Director – Schools Liaison

Tina has had a varied and exciting career working with people which spans over 30 years. She gained valuable life experience working overseas as a holiday representative and has also travelled extensively around Australia and New Zealand.

Tina returned to the UK in the 90’s to work for a major airline as cabin crew before taking a short break to have three children, now teenagers. Tina is also a BACP (Accred) registered counsellor, a qualified and practising aromatherapist, passionate about aromatherapy and other natural remedies.

Terri-Ann Fairclough – BSc (Hons) Psych, MBACP (Accred)
Director & Clinical Lead

Terri’s early career started in Advertising and Marketing before returning to academia to study for a psychology degree as a mature student.

After graduating, Terri worked for a leading London University for over ten years, working her way up to becoming Operations Manager of its commercial subsidiary and then several years as Operations Director for a London-based innovation centre.

Terri started her counselling training eight years ago, at the same time working as Pastoral Leader at a local secondary school. Terri set up her private counselling practice in 2019 and joined EHMF in 2021. Terri qualified as a clinical supervisor in 2023.

Steve Seath ACIB
Director – Secretary

Steve is a retired banker having spent 38 years working in London and Kent specifically managing retail branches and commercial portfolios. For the last nine years prior to retirement, Steve specialised in the education sector in the South East region with particular experience in schools converting to academies and Multi Academy Trusts.

He was a former Chair of Governors at Gravesend’s largest primary school and a board member of the largest Multi Academy Trust in Kent. In addition, Steve was a member of the finance committee of the Ellenor Hospice.

Scott Thomas – Events

Scott recently graduated from London Southbank University awarded a Bsc Hons in Quantity Surveying whilst, working as a Quantity surveyor at FM Conway Ltd. He is currently working towards RICS Chartership.

Scott is a FA Level 2 football coach who volunteers at various local football clubs coaching children of all ages and has been doing so since 2017.

Scott was a close friend and neighbour of Elliott’s, so the EHMF cause is close to his heart – to try and help young people in our local community gain access to Mental Health Counselling. Scott helped Peter to set up the fund in August 2021 and organised a community football event involving all ages in the first month.

Matthew Davies
Corporate fundraising

Matthew joined the EHMF team in October 2024 to focus on Corporate fundraising. Matt has spent the past 18 years of his career working within the commercial side of finance, payments and banking in London, and now currently within the institutional side of a tier 1 bank.

In his spare time, Matt coaches his son’s football team and sits on the football clubs committee, whilst also lending his support to the local scouts group committee. Having lived in the Gravesham area all of his life, Matt will be working with our local businesses to raise funds and awareness.

Dr Bhargawa Vasudaven DL – Medical Advisor

A retired GP who has worked in Gravesend for over 25 years. Retired Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine and a former CEO of the Walk in Centre in Northfleet. Retired Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and one of the Founder Members of their Pre-Hospital Care Faculty.

He has had a parallel career in volunteering over the years, serving as a medical advisor to the Kent Air Ambulance for 15 years, Gravesend RNLI station for 9 years, trustee of Ellenor Hospice for over 5 years and continues since the Pandemic as the Medical Advisor to Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund involved in suicide prevention and direct access to counselling for 13-18 year olds in Gravesham. He is also serving as one of the trustees of Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust supporting Kent Communities.
