Elliott Holmes was a hugely popular teenager who lived in Istead Rise and took his own life in June 2020, at the tender age of 19.
Elliott was a pupil at Meopham School and struggled with his mental health for a number of years. His death shocked the local communities of Istead Rise, Meopham and the surrounding villages and his name is now strongly linked with Mental Health and wellbeing in the area.
Within three weeks of Elliott’s death, his friends pulled together and raised over £10,000 for Mind. A fantastic tribute to a well liked teenager and a memory that will live on through the newly formed Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund. A fund which over the coming years, will aim to help promote better mental health and wellbeing for people living in our local community.
