At the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund, we partner with organisations across Gravesham to offer post-counselling support. Our goal is to prevent relapse, build social connections, and encourage physical activity — all of which are essential for mental well-being.
Our Partnerships
-
Gravesham Leisure With a special EHMF membership, GCLL offers a welcoming space where young people can build confidence, join group activities, make friends, and stay active — all proven to boost mental health.
-
The Grand A vibrant hub for young people to explore their talents in art, drama, music, and other creative outlets. The Grand has a long-standing commitment to supporting youth in the Gravesham community.
-
Meopham Leisure Similar to our Gravesham Leisure partnership, Meopham Leisure provides a safe and inclusive environment for young people to grow their confidence, meet others, and enjoy the benefits of regular exercise.
- Emerge Advocacy Provides short term support for young people who find themselves in A&E because they are struggling with self-harm or feeling suicidal. This support is purposely non-clinical, their teams are there in hospital and afterwards. They also consider specific referrals from EHMF.
-
Compass Programme Held at Northfleet Family Hub, Compass is an 8-week programme for 12-16 year olds, offering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills in a relaxed setting. Topics include:
-
Mindfulness: Guided meditations, relaxation exercises, and self-awareness activities.
-
Emotion Regulation: Expanding emotional vocabulary, creative expression, and emotional awareness.
-
Distress Tolerance: Developing coping tools, self-soothing techniques, and stress management.
-
Interpersonal Skills: Active listening, boundary setting, and communication exercises.
-
This blend of individual reflection and group interaction provides essential tools for young people to navigate challenges and build resilience.
Young people are made aware of these services and encouraged to take up after their counselling has finished.
