Remembering Tristan Taylor
The Tristan Cup 2026 was held on Saturday 9th May at Higham Primary School, in memory of 15-year-old Tristan Taylor from Higham who was a past pupil at the school.
Higham Eagles, a club Tristan played for over many years, hosted a fantastic girls football tournament featuring teams from Higham Eagles, Gravesham Girls, Vinters, and Staplehurst Monarchs.
It was wonderful to see the community come together in Tristan’s memory, while supporting such an important cause. Together, the event raised about £400 for the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund, helping provide counselling and support for young people across Gravesham.
A huge thank you to Carley, Cheree, and Vic for all their hard work in making the day happen and creating such a special event for everyone involved.
Events like this show the incredible strength of our community, remembering Tristan while helping make a real difference to the lives of young people who may not be quite so fortunate.
A special thank you to the coaches, managers and volunteers of youth football clubs who, week in week out, rain or shine, turn up to support our young people.
