5 riders complete the 55 miles London to Brighton

5 riders beat the sun to complete the 55 miles London to Brighton cycle ride. You hope for good weather for this annual event, but nothing could have prepared our riders for extreme heat our cyclist endured on Sunday.

Well done to all, in particular Stephen Mac Arthur, Colin Rawlins and Lee Rawlins who competed in the event for the first time. A personal best for Dan Ferla and a third ride out at this event for James Huggett, all raising money for the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund. This year a record number of 5,700 cyclists started out at Clapham Common for the enduring 55 miles ride finishing on Brighton sea front.

Over £2,800 has been raised by our riders which will fund mental health counselling for 6 young people, a great effort. Thank you to Skyline Events who organises this event so well every year, it’s great to be part of it.
