GAMA Golf Society fund counselling for 10 young people
A lovely round of golf at Westcote Golf Club in Surrey with the GAMA Golf Society (Gatwick Airport Managers Society) saw the end of Mike Williams (5th from left) role as Captain for the year.
I met up with Mike from Sole Street earlier in the year, after he heard about our charity and was keen to hear more about it. As Captain of the GAMA Golf Society, Mike decided to make the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund his chosen charity for his year, wanting to make a difference in his local community.
The first fundraiser was at Rochester and Cobham Golf Course where the society raised £1,200. By the end of the year they had reached a grand total of £4,620 and presented me with a cheque on Friday which will fund counselling for 10 young people in Gravesham. A fantastic effort from a golf society which has been going for over 40 years.
Thank you to Mike Williams and the everyone at GAMA Golf Society for your kind support.
