Damian Irvine, CEO of Ebbsfleet United explains why the club proudly supports EHMF
Ebbsfleet United CEO Damian Irvine shares why the club proudly supports the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund – a local Gravesham cause changing young lives through free, face-to-face mental health counselling.
Since April 2022, the Fund has supported over 430 young people (ages 13-18) with no waiting lists and no barriers. Teenagers can self-refer and get the help they need, when they need it. In 2024, the Gravesham community came together; more than 6,000 people, schools, Kent Police, Cascades & Cygnet leisure centres, pubs, clubs and individuals, to raise vital funds.
The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund is unique in the UK; working directly with schools and empowering young people to take control of their own mental health.
The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund truly embodies the spirit of community, tackling a critical local issue with compassion and commitment. The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund is a finalist in the 2025 year’s BBC Make a difference awards.
