DPD UK support Gravesham’s youth
In June 2025 a team from DPD UK including friends from Istead Colts FC, Riverview FC took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (24 miles, 3 mountains in 12 hours) to help change the lives of young people in Gravesham, supporting the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund’s HEALTHY MINDS, BRIGHTER FUTURES campaign.
Together they raised £8,400 which was match funded by the DPD UK giving a total of £16,800 which will fund counselling for around 42 young people. An incredible effort by all those involved.
This is the second year DPD UK have supported the Gravesham community. Last year the DPD team raised £2,460 which again was match funded by DPD UK. They don’t just deliver parcels, they are committed to supporting local causes.
A huge thank you to Stephen Platt for his dedication in organising a team for the second year running and Elaine Kerr, CEO of DPD UK for the generous matchfunding.
The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund is unique in the UK; working with the community, including Gravesham schools, empowering young people to take control of their own mental health.
The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund truly embodies the spirit of community, tackling a critical local issue with compassion and commitment. The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund is a finalist in the 2025 BBC Make a difference awards.
