Rotary help nine young people access counselling

We were delighted to attend this week’s meeting at Gravesend and Meopham Rotary Club in Meopham and present Past President, Ryan Walker, with a certificate, in appreciation of the club’s fundraising efforts over the last year.

It started with £1,000 being presented by previous Past President, Bryan Sweetland, back in August 2022. A further £1,542 was raised at their annual golf day held at the London Beach club in March, followed by a further £1,887 from their annual ball held at Cobham Hall in April. This money will fund mental health counselling for at least nine young people. In total, the club has raised £4,429, which in turn has financed 10% of all young people counselled so far – such an amazing contribution from just one club in Gravesham.

Incoming President, Nigel Crocker, has informed us the club are going to continue their support over the coming year. With the number of referrals increasing month on month, this news is very much welcomed. Thank you to all concerned for your generous support.
