Second team from Kent Police complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks

A second team of six from Kent Police and 7 other supporters braved the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge earlier this month.  24 miles, three mountains, non-stop! Two of the participants were 14-year-old Otis Hinsley and Freddie Robinson from Meopham School – what an experience for these two!

This challenge was made far more difficult by the awful weather, strong winds, hail stones, rain and a temperature of 2ºC at the summit; it’s borderline masochistic in these conditions.

A huge shoutout to everyone who participated. A huge thank you to DPD for their generous £2,460 match funding the donation from the May event in which two of their employees, Steve Platt and Steve Tonkin took part. This made a big difference to the total amount raised which topped £7,000.

The efforts from the two teams will fund counselling for at least 15 young people. An amazing contribution to our cause. If you would like to see what the experience is like and fancy giving it a go next year, then view the video below:
