The Vigo community enjoy a fun quiz night!
Well that was a blinder of a night in the Villager! A pub quiz to raise money for the Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund and wow what a turn out, and fun night!
17 teams and the place was rammed! The Village Idots came first with 81.5 points and claimed the bragging rights. Big thanks to Dave Littley from the Villager, for putting this on and providing food for all and wine for the winners and to our brilliant quizmaster, Fezza, aka James Ferrin.
Plus, £506 was raised to help support young members of our community with mental health struggles. All the money raised stays in Gravesham and the EHMF get youngsters help fast. Six days is all it takes for them to get young people into counselling, vs a potential two or three years through CAMHS.
This brings the total raised across two quizzes to £742. That’s 15 sessions paid for, and up to three people on their way to dealing with their troubles with the help of an inspiring group of professional counsellors.
We support young people aged 13-18 who either live or attend a school in Gravesham.
Next quiz night at The Villager will be the 12th November! Book your table early by calling the pub on 01732 822305.
